In most cases, when a customer has an emergency shutdown of test equipment, we can have an engineer on site within 24 to 48 hours

Sometimes it is more cost effective to send your test equipment to us. We have repair facilities in the United Kingdom. ‘Turn around’ times are normally less than a week if no specialist spare parts are required.

Megavolt Limited will repair HV test equipment from a number of suppliers. We have repaired equipment manufactured by, amongst others, Hipotronics, Haefely, Tettex, Robinson Instruments, LDIC, Phenix Technologies, Power Diagnostix, and High Volt.

Megavolt Limited has on many occasions repaired test equipment which is considered ‘obsolete’ by the original manufacturer, meaning that the customer manages to delay the costly replacement of test equipment. When spare parts are not available we can sometimes implement modifications to extend the life of the test equipment.

We can offer a calibration of your HV test equipment, either on site or at our repair facility. We calibrate to the relevant international standards, and all of our calibration equipment is fully traceable.

We can calibrate a wide range of high voltage equipment such as kilovolt (KVM) meters, impulse measuring systems, high voltage dividers, partial discharge detectors and calibrators, tan delta and power factor test sets, loss measuring systems, current transformers (CTs) and potential transformers (PTs).

We can also make a visit to your factory to discuss your requirement, help to plan a suitable test system, and make necessary on site checks such as ambient RF noise level.

Megavolt Limited specializes in custom designed test facilities such as fully automated systems to minimise operator input and for high volume testing. We can automate the complete test cycle, for example a cycle of PD test, hipot test, impulse test, then retest of PD, can all be done automatically without the time consuming need for a test technician to change connections manual.

Specialised testing requirements such as EHV or UHV testing, high power, high current, or other exceptional tests can also be solved with our custom built test designs.
